Why Bother?

When you have a child, the dynamics of your life changes. By the time you decide to have a second child, you feel as though you’re in a good groove and your schedule or life requires another adjustment. You probably wonder by why you bother to have or follow or schedule? Regardless, of your age or stage in life, most people enjoy having a plan or knowing what will happen next. Your child counts on you to plan and prepare their next meal, right?

Why do we bother with a garden at Seven Branches? It’s hard work, dirty and too hot work. A garden is an amazing way to share and teach a life experience with a child and our teachers. It begins with a seedling, planting, watering, weeding and then the harvest. God’s children (your child) is just like our SBA garden. It’s important for us to plant good thoughts (seeds) water the seeds (love them), teach right from wrong, make good choices, (remove the weeds) to ensure that we grow up bold and strong for Christ and be a “good harvest”

Proverbs 22:6 Train a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it.
