Why celebrate Seuss? Because Dr. Seuss books are a great instrument of learning! The rhyming words help children develop phonemic awareness (letter sounds), the nonsense words help children focus on sounds and how to rhyme, there are great social concepts in the stories, and the books help spark children's imaginations! They are great for early readers, who learn through repetition and fun for pre-readers, who will be engaged by the colors and sounds. So many benefits and so much fun! Even some of our staff got in on the fun of Seuss Character Day today! Thank you, Dr. Seuss, for your contributions to childhood literacy! ... See MoreSee Less
